Manjula Reddy Joins Sai Life Sciences Ltd as Associate Director

Manjula Reddy has taken on the role of Associate Director at Sai Life Sciences Ltd, Hyderabad, Telangana. She is recognized for her expertise in peptide synthesis and drug conjugates, and her journey within Sai Life Sciences has seen significant contributions to scientific development. In her recent position as Senior Principal Scientist, Manjula established a peptide discovery facility, delivering over 2,000 peptides to global clients through innovative approaches. Her work involved synthesizing a wide variety of peptides such as Linear, Macrocyclic, Stapled, PEGylated, and Bicyclic peptides, while also specializing in peptide drug conjugates and click chemistry.

Before her current role, Manjula held key positions, notably at Hetero, where she was instrumental in setting up an R&D facility for peptide synthesis and purification. She was involved in the process development of essential peptides like Leuprolide Acetate, Octreotide, and Semaglutide. Her comprehensive understanding of peptide chemistry, combined with her proficiency in analytical techniques like High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), has significantly advanced peptide research and development at her previous workplaces.

Manjula’s early career at ISSAR Pharmaceuticals further demonstrated her dedication to peptide research, where she developed critical peptides such as Decapeptide and Oxytocin. Her scientific acumen was also enriched during her postdoctoral research at Sorbonne Universities, where she focused on cell-penetrating peptides and explored peptide-protein interactions using advanced techniques. This blend of academic and industry experience has positioned her as a leader in the biopharmaceutical field.

With her extensive background and a history of setting up state-of-the-art research facilities, Manjula’s appointment at Sai Life Sciences is set to drive innovative projects and contribute to the company’s growth. Her skills in research, development, and peptide chemistry make her a key asset to the team, and her leadership is expected to propel the organization toward new heights in pharmaceutical advancements.
