Arun Mittal Joins Lohum as CEO
Arun Mittal has taken on a new role as CEO of Lohum, marking an exciting chapter for the lithium-ion battery recycling company. With close to 30 years of experience in the battery sector, Arun is recognized for his deep expertise in e-mobility and sustainable energy solutions. He joins Lohum after serving as Managing Director & CEO at Exide Energy Solutions Ltd, where he led initiatives in lithium-ion battery technology and drove key projects for expanding Exide’s footprint across Southeast Asia.
At Exide, Arun held several high-impact roles, including as Director of the Automotive and Industrial divisions. His leadership was instrumental in steering Exide’s focus toward lithium-ion solutions, supporting the development of advanced batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) and other high-performance applications. During his time at Exide, Arun’s work in advancing sustainable technologies and expanding into international markets cemented his reputation as a visionary in the energy storage sector.
In his new role, Arun will leverage his extensive background to scale Lohum’s operations and contribute to India’s mission toward a circular economy in energy storage. Under his guidance, Lohum aims to bolster its recycling capabilities, making strides in producing sustainable, high-quality battery materials to meet increasing industry demand. Arun’s knowledge of the entire battery ecosystem, from manufacturing to end-of-life recycling, will be essential as Lohum seeks to lead in lithium-ion recycling and supply chain sustainability.
