Jeeva Balakrishnan Joins Cholamandalam Investment as Chief Human Resources Officer

Jeeva Balakrishnan has joined Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola) as President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). With over two decades of strategic HR leadership and expertise, Jeeva’s appointment signals a strengthened commitment to drive the company’s people agenda, supporting both employee and stakeholder growth under the mission to help communities lead better lives.

Before joining Chola, Jeeva was with Reliance Retail for nearly a decade, where he played a significant role as SVP & Chief Talent Officer. His tenure at Reliance was marked by efforts to democratize learning, drive talent transformation, and foster a high-performance culture. Jeeva’s initiatives laid the foundation for a people-centric workplace focused on capability-building and agile leadership.

Earlier in his career, Jeeva also contributed to strategic HR roles at Raymond Limited, where he led HR operations for the apparel and textile divisions, enhancing employee engagement and restructuring organizational capabilities to support business growth. His extensive experience includes work with other notable companies such as Bannari Amman Group and Hirdaramani Group, where he spearheaded HR and administrative efforts.
