Deepak S. Rathore has stepped into the role of Head – Production & Senior Manager – Vaccine Manufacturing & Projects at Hester Biosciences Limited, bringing with him a formidable blend of technical mastery, strategic foresight, and over 13 years of industry experience. With a deep-rooted expertise in vaccine manufacturing across BSL-1, 2, and 3 categories, his appointment is set to further solidify Hester’s leadership in the animal and human vaccine space.
In his current role at Hester Biosciences Limited, Deepak is leading key production operations with a sharp focus on cost optimization, technology adoption, and process excellence. His portfolio includes managing COGM, implementing continuous improvement initiatives, and steering plant development—all crucial in aligning the company’s manufacturing goals with evolving industry demands. His leadership also ensures strict audit compliance and the smooth rollout of advanced technologies in production workflows.
Prior to this, Deepak played an instrumental role as Senior Manager for Project & Production, contributing to technical project management, feasibility studies, and successful execution of vaccine manufacturing processes. His work was central to the development of downstream and upstream capabilities under high biosafety levels, further establishing Hester’s global manufacturing credentials.
Deepak’s earlier stints include significant contributions at Zydus Cadila, where he was involved in the upstream production of H1N1 and rabies vaccines using both embryo-based and cell culture platforms. His academic foundation in microbiology and immunology, earned from the University of Rajasthan, reinforces his scientific acumen, while his time at Mohan Lal Sukhadia University laid the groundwork for his journey in biological sciences.
