Gunjan Singh has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) – API Plus Business at Cohance Lifesciences, a leading pharmaceutical company driving innovation and excellence in Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) and formulations. In his new role, Gunjan will be responsible for leading the API Plus division with complete P&L ownership, shaping business strategy, operational efficiency, and global market expansion. Based in Hyderabad, he will play a pivotal role in advancing Cohance Lifesciences’ growth trajectory and strengthening its leadership in the global API landscape.
Gunjan’s association with Cohance began in June 2025 when he joined as Business Head – API and Formulations, leading end-to-end business operations. His proven expertise in commercial strategy, product portfolio management, and customer-centric execution has contributed significantly to the company’s momentum. His elevation to CEO reflects Cohance’s commitment to fostering visionary leadership and scaling new heights in pharmaceutical excellence.
Prior to joining Cohance Lifesciences, Gunjan served as Vice President and Head – Mature Markets API (North America, South America, and Europe) at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he led the PSAI business across key international markets, managed global strategy, and strengthened strategic partnerships. Earlier, he was the Chief Executive Officer at Wanbury Limited, where he successfully drove business transformation, achieving record sales, enhancing R&D innovation, and improving operational performance.
Before that, Gunjan held the position of Vice President and Business Head – API at Jubilant Pharma, where he managed complete P&L responsibilities and delivered consistent growth even amid pandemic-driven market challenges. His long and impactful tenure at Piramal Enterprises Limited saw him rise through multiple leadership roles, including Vice President – Business Development & Sales (API, Nutrition & CDMO-ROW). During his time at Piramal, he earned the Chairman’s Award for outstanding business performance and strategic leadership.
With over two decades of experience, Gunjan brings deep expertise across pharmaceuticals, strategy, and business transformation, having worked with global firms such as Accenture, EY, Yash Birla Group, and Larsen & Toubro. His holistic leadership approach—combining strategic foresight, operational excellence, and people empowerment—positions him to lead Cohance Lifesciences’ API Plus Business toward greater global competitiveness and sustainable growth.
