Mohit Gautam has been elevated to Assistant Vice President – Centre Head at Axis Bank, where he will be leading the Working Capital business in Uttar Pradesh. With over 15 years of experience across retail lending, mortgages, retail forex, and credit card business, he brings strong capability in branch-driven growth, credit portfolio expansion, and customer relationship development. His expertise spans both strategic planning and operational leadership within high-volume retail financial services environments.
Before taking on this role, Mohit served as Area Sales Manager at Axis Bank, where he was responsible for Loan Against Property business in Delhi. In this capacity, he played a key role in driving branch-based sourcing models, improving portfolio performance, and strengthening distribution engagement, contributing to consistent market presence and business momentum.
Prior to this, he spent over three years with Yes Bank, handling roles across gold loan portfolio management and asset business development across multiple locations in Uttar Pradesh. Mohit also worked with ICICI Bank as Manager – Credit Cards in Gurugram, where he led lead generation frameworks, sales teams, risk evaluation processes, and portfolio engagement strategies to enhance productivity and credit quality.
Earlier in his career, he gained rich experience in branch banking and foreign exchange operations through roles at Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, FRR Forex, Mercury Travels, and Thomas Cook. Across these positions, he built strong capabilities in customer handling, compliance, distribution management, sales network expansion, and frontline leadership. His journey reflects deep experience in driving business outcomes grounded in operational discipline, service excellence, and relationship-led growth.
