As Deputy General Manager at Havells India Ltd, with over eighteen years of experience in Production Planning Control, Manufacturing Engineering, and New Product Development, he has played a central role in shaping the appliance division’s growth and innovation journey. His foundation was built in his early years working in switchgear manufacturing, overseeing production and development of MCBs, changeover switches, RCCBs, and related distribution board assemblies, giving him deep hands-on understanding of high-reliability electrical product lines.
Amit has led the introduction of more than fifty new products across mixer grinders, room heaters, water purifiers, and air purifiers, while also setting up ultra-premium Craft Series production lines and implementing AIAG-VDA PFMEA for global-level quality reliability. A Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and strong advocate of lean and Industry 4.0 practices, He drove several projects resulting in annual savings in Crores by optimizing manpower and streamlining workflows through value stream mapping, line balancing, and intelligent process study.
His digital transformation initiatives including migrating to SAP S/4 HANA PP Module, deploying Material Requirement Planning across nine plants, and building digital traceability systems—have enabled Havells to operate with smarter, faster, and more transparent production systems. His contributions to early smart factory development with Dassault Systems further reflect his future-forward vision.
