Ravi Kumar Meka has taken on a new role as Assistant Vice President – Quality at Hikal Limited, marking a significant milestone in his two–decade journey across quality leadership in the pharmaceuticals and API manufacturing landscape. Based in Bharuch, Gujarat, Ravi steps into a role focused on strengthening global compliance, elevating quality systems, and enabling manufacturing excellence across the organization.
Known for his expertise in Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and regulatory compliance, Ravi brings extensive experience from top-tier pharmaceutical organizations. Prior to joining Hikal, he served at Neuland Laboratories Limited, where he led the Quality function as Head of QC & QA, driving systemic improvements, audit readiness, and regulatory compliance aligned with USFDA, EU GMP, MHRA, WHO, and global frameworks.
Ravi’s earlier tenure includes impactful leadership roles at Alembic Pharmaceuticals, Mylan, Aurobindo Pharma, Matrix Laboratories, and Divi’s Labs. Across these roles, he has led large teams, implemented global QMS platforms, strengthened risk and compliance governance, streamlined batch release processes, and ensured operational excellence through validation programs, audit strategies, vendor qualification, CAPA frameworks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
With a reputation for precision, process discipline, and regulatory depth, Ravi now aims to reinforce Hikal’s quality culture, accelerate compliance transformation, and enhance inspection readiness. His focus will be on digital QMS adoption, strengthening analytical rigor, and building high-performing cross-functional collaboration to support Hikal’s manufacturing and business expansion plans.
