Vijay Musalgaonkar appointed as Associate Vice President at Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd, bringing with him an extensive career spanning over three decades across renewable energy, utilities, FMCG, automobile, and infrastructure sectors. Based in Mumbai, he will play a key role in strengthening large-scale project delivery, driving operational excellence, and enhancing process frameworks for Waaree’s fast-expanding renewable energy portfolio.
Before joining Waaree, Vijay served as General Manager at First Energy (a Thermax Group company), where he oversaw project management with full P&L ownership for renewable energy initiatives. His leadership contributed to streamlined processes, improved customer satisfaction, and robust risk management practices across cutting-edge power and energy projects. His ability to integrate process deployment with large-scale execution has been a consistent hallmark throughout his career.
Vijay also spent over 12 years at Schneider Electric, holding multiple senior leadership roles including General Manager and AGM – Project Management. During this time, he led project construction across India and Bhutan, managing electrical distribution and discom projects end-to-end. His work significantly advanced project quality, power distribution efficiency, and organizational process maturity. His leadership extended to EPC projects, data centres, FMCG units, and critical infrastructure, demonstrating his versatility across sectors.
Earlier in his journey, Vijay held pivotal roles at ETA Engineering, ABB, Neptune Systems, and Reunion Engineering, where he built deep on-ground expertise in construction management, large-scale electrical and mechanical projects, and metro rail infrastructure—most notably contributing to multiple DMRC underground and elevated station developments. These diverse experiences have shaped him into a strategic project leader with strong technical acumen and a proven track record in high-stakes environments.
In his new mandate at Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd, Vijay is expected to accelerate project delivery capabilities, enhance engineering standards, and support the company’s mission to scale renewable energy solutions across India and global markets. His leadership will further strengthen Waaree’s commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable infrastructure development.
