Vikas Kumar appointed as General Manager at ElectraEV, where he is driving the company’s mission of accelerating electric mobility in India. In this strategic leadership role, he focuses on building cutting-edge EV technologies and solutions that strengthen the “Made-in-India” vision. By enabling cross-functional collaboration and innovation, he plays a key role in expanding ElectraEV’s portfolio across both on-road and off-road vehicle applications.
Before joining ElectraEV, Vikas served at Nidec India for over four years in Sales, Business Development, and Strategy. His work there involved enabling large-scale customer engagement, building market presence for advanced motion and energy solutions, and shaping strategic growth plans. His ability to blend technical understanding with commercial strategy helped position the company strongly across industrial and automotive clients.
Earlier, Vikas led regional sales operations at Sonepar India, where he drove business across North India and strengthened customer relationships in the electrical and automation space. His longest stint was with ABB, where he spent more than a decade across roles in business development and motion control. Rising to the position of Business Line Manager for Motion Control and Drives, he contributed significantly to market expansion, applications engineering, and complex industrial solution deployments.
Vikas began his career as an Application Engineer at Reckers Control and later at Mitsubishi Electric, gaining hands-on experience in automation, drives, and industrial applications. Over the years, he has built a strong reputation in the electric mobility, motion control, and industrial automation sectors. With more than two decades of experience, he now brings a rare combination of technical depth, commercial acumen, and strategic clarity to ElectraEV’s mission of reshaping India’s EV future.
