Bhavik Mota has been elevated to the position of Senior General Manager at Reliance Industries Limited, marking a significant milestone in his 13-year journey with the company. Based in Mumbai, Bhavik brings deep expertise in procurement, contracting, and supply chain management, having successfully led complex, large-scale projects in the Oil to Chemical (O2C) vertical and beyond.
In his previous role as Deputy General Manager – Procurement & Contracting at Reliance Industries Limited, Bhavik managed procurement portfolios worth over INR 1500 crores for major projects such as the Jamnagar Expansion Project (J3) and PTA 5/6 initiatives. His leadership spanned across Offsites & Utilities (Os & Us) packages, including water treatment, waste management, HVAC systems, and mechanical equipment. Known for his meticulous approach to strategic sourcing, cost optimization, and vendor management, Bhavik has consistently ensured operational excellence while adhering to project timelines and compliance frameworks.
Earlier in his career, Bhavik served as Senior Manager at Reliance Industries Limited, overseeing MRO procurement worth approximately INR 80 crores annually for the company’s petrochemical complex at Nagothane. He played a vital role in import sourcing of critical equipment and spares, contract negotiations, and capital procurement for major petrochemical units. Before joining Reliance, he gained valuable experience as Assistant Manager at Essar Projects India Limited, where he handled procurement worth INR 400 crores in the Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Project, managing critical components like compressors, gas dehydration units, and fire water pumps.
A graduate of K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, University of Mumbai, Bhavik is recognized for his strategic procurement acumen, deep technical understanding, and ability to drive cost efficiency across industrial and energy projects. His elevation reflects Reliance’s continued trust in his leadership as the company strengthens its supply chain and operational frameworks.
