Nirav Thakker has taken on the role of Assistant General Manager – Supply Chain Management at L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited, marking a significant milestone in his decade-long association with the organization. Based in Vadodara, he now leads strategic SCM operations for L&T’s hydrocarbon onshore business, bringing with him extensive expertise in procurement, costing, estimation, and instrumentation engineering built over 13 years in the energy and industrial sectors.
Nirav returns to L&T after a successful tenure at Air Products, where he served as Lead Procurement Specialist and earlier as Procurement Specialist. During this period, he played a key role in managing high-value procurement cycles, optimizing vendor relationships, and supporting mission-critical projects through strategic sourcing and cost efficiency. His experience at Air Products strengthened his command over global procurement processes, compliance, and category expertise across electrical and instrumentation domains.
Before joining Air Products, Nirav worked as Associate Manager at Adani Enterprises Ltd. within the Petrochemicals division, contributing to procurement for the Coal-to-PVC plant initiative. His earlier journey at L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering includes progressive roles such as Graduate Engineer Trainee, Instrumentation & Control Engineer, Senior Engineer, Assistant Manager, and Manager. Across these roles, he gained hands-on experience in commissioning, estimation, project costing, and procurement of electrical and instrumentation equipment, establishing a strong technical and commercial foundation.
With a career built on operational discipline, technical depth, and strategic procurement leadership, Nirav now steps into a pivotal role where he will drive SCM excellence, strengthen supply ecosystems, and support L&T’s large-scale hydrocarbon projects. His continued growth within the organization reflects a strong track record in delivering value across multidisciplinary engineering and procurement functions.
