Sajjan Sharma has taken on the role of General Manager – Logistics at UltraTech Cement, marking a significant leadership move in his extensive career within the cement and supply chain industry. With nearly three decades of operational experience, he now leads large-scale logistics operations across India with a strategic focus on efficiency, digital integration, and enhanced customer delivery performance.
Before stepping into this role, Sajjan spent 24 years with Ambuja Cements, where he grew through pivotal responsibilities including Primary Logistics Head and Deputy General Manager – Secondary Logistics. Throughout his tenure, he successfully managed critical logistics frameworks, enabling seamless movement of material across regions while ensuring alignment with business priorities and service excellence.
Sajjan began his industry journey with UltraTech Cement earlier in his career, gaining foundational expertise in logistics planning, dispatch coordination, freight benchmarking, and fleet operations. Over time, he has built a reputation for operational rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to optimize cost structures while strengthening service reliability.
In his new mandate at UltraTech, Sajjan will be responsible for driving logistics transformation, network optimization, digital adoption, and capability enhancement across primary and secondary movement channels. His leadership focus remains centred on improving operational responsiveness, strengthening vendor and fleet management, and elevating overall customer satisfaction.
