Vidya Kailasam Hangal has been promoted to the position of Director – Omnichannel at Mondelez International. In her new role, Vidya will lead Mondelez India Foods’ organized trade vertical, with a focus on driving growth across modern trade channels (B2C and B2B) and e-commerce, including quick commerce, e-grocery, and e-marketplaces. This strategic promotion aims to strengthen Mondelez’s omnichannel presence in the Indian market.
Previously, Vidya served as Head of Omnichannel at Mondelez, where she successfully managed revenue generation across both organized offline retail and digital commerce, particularly in e-grocery and quick commerce. Her proven expertise in navigating the complexities of retail and digital channels positions her as a key player in Mondelez’s efforts to enhance its reach in the evolving Indian market landscape.
Vidya’s professional journey began at Infosys Technologies as a software engineer, and over the years, she has gained valuable experience in leadership roles at The Coca-Cola Company, Novartis Consumer Health, and Britannia Industries. Her comprehensive background in key account management, modern retail operations, and digital commerce has equipped her with the skills necessary to drive growth in a competitive market.
Throughout her career, Vidya has demonstrated her capability in managing brands through challenging market conditions and pricing disruptions in categories such as candy, biscuits, and beverages. Her extensive experience in the FMCG food sector and ability to blend offline and online retail strategies will be instrumental in her new role at Mondelez International.
