Abhijit Kulkarni has been appointed as the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Gulf Oil Lubricants India. With over two decades of experience leading commercial operations across multiple sectors, Abhijit brings a wealth of expertise in general management, marketing, and business strategy. His extensive background includes significant tenures at Unilever, Castrol, and Coca-Cola, where he honed his skills in driving profitability and innovation in competitive markets.

In his most recent role as Cluster General Manager for Unilever’s Ice Cream division in Southeast Asia, Abhijit was responsible for managing the largest ice cream business cluster in the region, overseeing end-to-end profit and loss (P&L) operations. His leadership in this position not only enhanced the operational efficiencies but also positioned Unilever as a market leader through strategic product innovation and robust market strategies. Additionally, as the General Manager for Hair and Oral Care in Thailand, he successfully led one of Unilever’s iconic brands, demonstrating his capacity to thrive in dynamic and competitive environments.

Prior to his successful stint at Unilever, Abhijit spent nearly five years at Castrol, where he initially served as Area Sales Manager before advancing to the role of Brand Manager for Motorcycle Oils. His experience in managing sales operations in key regions provided him with deep insights into consumer preferences and effective marketing strategies. Furthermore, his early career at Coca-Cola involved critical production management, where he was responsible for the operations of a bottling line, instilling a foundational understanding of the industry’s operational intricacies.

At Gulf Oil Lubricants India, Abhijit will lead the company’s business delivery across various verticals, including B2C, B2B, and Industrial Markets (IMF). His proven track record of managing large teams and driving revenue growth is expected to significantly contribute to Gulf Oil’s strategic goals and enhance its competitive edge in the lubricant sector.
