Avinash Avula has been appointed as the new Country President of Applied Materials India Pvt Ltd. Bringing over 25 years of extensive leadership experience in business and technology development, with a particular focus on the semiconductor and electronics industries, Avinash will be responsible for overseeing operations across Applied Materials’ five sites in India. His role will include managing R&D, product development, and other strategic functions that align with Applied Materials’ expansion in the Indian market.

Dr. Satheesh Kuppurao, Group Vice President of Business Development and Growth for the Semiconductor Products Group at Applied Materials, expressed confidence in Avinash’s leadership capabilities. Avinash’s technical and strategic insights have been pivotal in advancing initiatives within the semiconductor field, setting him up for impactful leadership in his new role.
Avinash holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and master’s degrees in industrial and mechanical engineering.
