Chetan Jhawar Appointed as Lead, Hindi Original Movies at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios

Chetan Jhawar has taken on the role of Lead, Hindi Original Movies at Prime Video & Amazon MGM Studios, based in Mumbai, India. With an extensive background in content creation and production, Chetan brings over 14 years of experience in the entertainment industry to his new role. His expertise in developing original films and series has made him a valuable asset to some of the most prominent entertainment platforms.

Prior to joining Prime Video, Chetan spent over five years at Netflix, where he held roles including Manager and Creative for International Original Films. During his tenure at Netflix, he was instrumental in bringing to life several high-profile projects and expanded Netflix’s original content library with a strong focus on Hindi films. His creativity and strategic approach played a key role in driving audience engagement across India and other international markets.

Before his work at Netflix, Chetan served as Senior Producer (Content) at ALTBalaji, where he oversaw a wide range of content that catered to diverse audiences in India. His contributions helped establish ALTBalaji as a popular streaming platform for Hindi content. Chetan’s earlier experience includes key roles in content and programming at Star TV Network, where he worked on fiction projects across channels like Channel V, enhancing viewership through engaging storytelling.

Chetan also has experience in freelance ad film direction and has worked with well-known production houses, including Red Chillies Entertainment, as a Creative, Post Producer, and Assistant Director. His journey in media began with fiction production at Beyond Dreams Productions, where he honed his skills in creative development and project management.
