Dr. Pranab Haldar Joins Sandoz as Director of Global Development API Partnership

Dr. Pranab Haldar has taken on the position of Director of Global Development API Partnership at Sandoz as of July 2024. With over two decades of experience in pharmaceutical project and program management, Dr. Pranab is expected to bring his in-depth expertise in strategic sourcing and global collaborations to the company. His new role is based in Telangana, India, where he will be working in a hybrid capacity, overseeing the development of key API partnerships.

Prior to this role, Dr. Pranab served as the Head of Strategic Sourcing at Sandoz Novartis for nearly four years. During his tenure, he led efforts to optimize sourcing strategies and build strong relationships with key suppliers to support the company’s growth. His strategic oversight and experience in driving large-scale projects and managing cross-functional teams made a significant impact on business operations and supply chain efficiency.

Before joining Sandoz, Dr. Pranab held the position of Lead Project Manager at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he worked on integrated project and program management for both API and formulation development. His extensive background in process research and development, coupled with his techno-commercial skills, enabled him to lead global programs and oversee product development from research through to regulatory filing. His accomplishments in this role include spearheading multiple initiatives in collaboration with industry leaders and research institutions.

Dr. Pranab’s illustrious career also includes a decade-long journey with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he held various roles, including Associate Director and Manager. He demonstrated excellence in project management and product development, driving the commercialization of complex APIs through strategic partnerships and collaborative efforts. Additionally, he has contributed to academia through his involvement as a thesis examiner and journal reviewer, and has been recognized with prestigious awards such as the Young Scientist Award from the Indian Chemical Society.

In his new capacity at Sandoz, Dr. Pranab is poised to leverage his vast experience and leadership skills to strengthen the company’s API development partnerships on a global scale.
