Ram Thawani Joins Svamaan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd. as Chief Information Security Officer

Ram Thawani has taken on a pivotal role as the Chief Information Security Officer at Svamaan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., a part of the JSW Group. In this position, Ram is expected to lead the company’s information security strategies and drive risk management initiatives. With nearly three years of experience in IT leadership within the organization, Ram’s familiarity with the company’s structure and security requirements offers a strong foundation for his new responsibilities. Based in Mumbai, he will play a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing the security frameworks at Svamaan Financial Services.

Before this appointment, Ram served as the Assistant General Manager – IT at Svamaan Financial Services Pvt. Ltd., where he spent almost three years. During his tenure, he gained valuable experience in handling risk assessments and implementing effective technology solutions. His extensive background in managing IT operations and delivering secure infrastructure is well-aligned with his current role’s objectives.

Ram’s career journey spans several years, with prior experience as Chief Manager – IT at Utkarsh Small Finance Bank, where he refined his skills in technology solutions and risk management. Additionally, his time at Nelito Systems Ltd as a Senior Project Manager saw him successfully lead multiple projects, focusing on developing and deploying lending solutions. This wide-ranging experience in managing both projects and teams is set to benefit his role as CISO.

In his earlier years, Ram worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Paladion Networks Pvt. Ltd. Here, he was involved in developing security applications and plugins, which laid the groundwork for his expertise in information security. His well-rounded experience in software development, project management, and IT security leadership is poised to contribute significantly to Svamaan Financial Services’ growth and secure operations.
