Sandeep Dutta Joins AWS as Regional President

Sandeep Dutta has been appointed as the Regional President at AWS, leveraging over two decades of strategic and leadership experience in technology and consulting. Most recently, Sandeep held the position of Senior Managing Director and India Business Lead at Accenture in India, where he played a vital role in advancing the company’s India growth strategy by promoting innovation and a people-centric approach. His career at Accenture included diverse roles in sales, strategy, and market unit leadership, working across sectors such as consumer goods, life sciences, and financial services.

Over his 14-year tenure at Accenture, Sandeep held significant roles, including India Market Unit Sales Lead, where he was instrumental in driving sales growth and strategic relationships across industries like oil and gas, telecom, and healthcare. This role allowed him to collaborate closely with a team dedicated to creating sustainable value for strategic clients through Accenture’s suite of services, covering strategy, consulting, technology, and operations. Sandeep’s leadership established Accenture as a trusted partner in India’s rapidly evolving market.

Sandeep’s expertise is further underscored by his leadership of Accenture’s Resources practice in India, where he oversaw a broad range of industries, including energy, utilities, chemicals, and natural resources. In this role, he guided client solutions in areas such as digital transformations and operational consulting, with a particular focus on energy and utilities. His insights into disruptive technologies and his nuanced understanding of India’s market dynamics have been pivotal in driving complex business transformations.

Before joining Accenture, Sandeep served as a Principal Consultant at PwC India, where he contributed to key projects, including the unbundling of state electricity boards.
