Varun Goswami Joins Air India as AVP – Head of Creative & Content
Varun Goswami has recently joined Air India as the Assistant Vice President and Head of Creative & Content. Based in Gurugram, Varun brings a wealth of creative leadership experience from his previous roles in the media and advertising industry, having developed innovative strategies for major global brands.
Prior to joining Air India, Varun spent over five years at Facebook as a Creative Strategist, where he drove high-impact campaigns that expanded the brand’s reach in India. His responsibilities included creating content strategies that resonated with diverse audiences, leveraging his expertise to craft engaging digital experiences.
Before Facebook, Varun served as the Creative Head for India and South Asia at Uber, where he led integrated marketing campaigns across various media. He spearheaded brand communication for both Uber Ride and Eats, guiding the creative team in India and working closely with advertising agencies, creators, and production teams to deliver impactful content.
In earlier roles, Varun contributed significantly at Grey Group, where he served as Executive Creative Director. During his tenure, he led the agency’s creative mandate in New Delhi, winning multiple awards for campaigns developed for clients such as ENO, National Geographic, and the Indian Navy. His accomplishments were recognized globally, including awards from Cannes Lions and Spikes Asia.
With Varun’s appointment, Air India anticipates a fresh wave of creativity and storytelling that aligns with the airline’s vision for growth and brand evolution. His extensive background in creative strategy and content development across industries positions him to effectively lead Air India’s creative initiatives as the airline continues to redefine its identity.
