Rishit Jhunjhunwala Appointed as CEO of Truecaller

Rishit Jhunjhunwala has been appointed as the new CEO of Truecaller, effective January 9, 2025. This leadership transition was confirmed during a board meeting held on November 6, 2024, marking a significant shift for the company as Jhunjhunwala takes the helm following the departure of co-founders Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam. The founders will step down from their operational roles but remain on the board as strategic advisors, helping to shape Truecaller’s future direction.

Rishit, who has been with Truecaller since 2015, initially serving as Head of Product, is well-positioned to lead the company. Since 2021, he has also been the Managing Director of India and has been responsible for the company’s product teams and its advertising and business services. Jhunjhunwala’s leadership and dedication to product innovation have contributed significantly to Truecaller’s success, positioning him as the ideal candidate to drive the company forward.

In a statement following the announcement, Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam expressed their pride in Truecaller’s progress and the company’s long-term strategy.
