Sibaji Biswas Appointed as Chief Financial Officer at Sony Pictures Networks India

Sibaji Biswas has been appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Sony Pictures Networks India, with his tenure set to begin in January 2025. In this pivotal role, Sibaji will oversee SPNI’s financial strategy, planning, and corporate finance, supporting the company’s growth and operational efficiency across its multi-channel and digital platforms.

Before joining SPNI, Sibaji served as Executive Director and CFO at Syngene International, a subsidiary of Biocon Group, where he played a key role in doubling revenues and nearly tripling the company’s market capitalization. His leadership also included driving digital transformation and optimizing the supply chain, positioning Syngene for future growth and operational excellence.

With over 12 years of experience at Vodafone, Sibaji brings a wealth of knowledge in large-scale procurement, strategic finance, and mergers and acquisitions. As Finance Director and Board Member of Vodafone Romania and Executive Vice President of Corporate Development in India, he contributed to Vodafone’s strong market position. Additionally, Biswas’s early career at Hutchison India, where he led corporate finance, further strengthened his financial expertise and strategic vision.
