Biswajit Biswas has taken on the role of Senior Manager – Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) at Sterling and Wilson, marking a key milestone in his 16+ years of progressive experience in industrial safety, compliance, and risk management. Known for his steadfast commitment to creating safe, compliant, and resilient workplaces, Biswas brings with him a rich legacy of safety leadership across reputed organizations like TRF Limited and Tata Consulting Engineers Limited.

At Sterling and Wilson, Biswajit now leads HSE strategy and operations for the Industrial EPC (IEPC) Business, particularly overseeing the Western Region’s high-stakes projects in sectors such as ports, defence, tunnels, nuclear energy, chemicals, and liquid terminals. His mandate includes streamlining HSE governance frameworks, driving ISO 14001 & 45001 compliance, and embedding a proactive safety culture across diverse and complex project environments.

Biswajit’s journey at Sterling and Wilson spans more than a decade, during which he has grown through the ranks—from Deputy Manager to Manager and now to Senior Manager—demonstrating consistent impact through safety innovation and operational excellence. His ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and foster accountability has significantly reduced incident rates and enhanced compliance standards across EPC projects.

Before joining Sterling and Wilson, Biswajit contributed to core safety functions at TRF Ltd., a TATA enterprise, and Tata Consulting Engineers, where he laid the foundation of his HSE career. A certified ISO 14001 & 45001 Internal Auditor and Certified Fire and Safety Auditor, his qualifications further equip him to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes and lead large-scale safety transformations.
