Chetan Mehta has taken on the role of Associate General Manager at Piramal Pharma Ltd., marking a significant step in his over 15-year journey in the chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector. Based in Bharuch, Gujarat, Chetan’s new role at Piramal focuses on operational leadership and engineering excellence at one of the company’s critical production hubs, known for its complex fluorine-based specialty chemical manufacturing.

Before this appointment, Chetan spent more than seven impactful years at Piramal Pharma in various engineering leadership positions, including his most recent stint as Chief Manager – Engineering at the company’s Dahej site. In this capacity, he oversaw capital projects, plant expansions, and operational improvements, playing an instrumental role in enhancing the plant’s productivity, safety standards, and cost-efficiency.

Chetan’s earlier professional milestones include roles with Navin Fluorine International Ltd., Deepak Nitrite Ltd., Indofil Chemical Company, and UPL Ltd., where he demonstrated a consistent ability to deliver on large-scale engineering projects and improve plant performance through robust mechanical and process solutions. His technical acumen spans preventive maintenance, utilities, project execution, and commissioning across high-stakes chemical environments.

An engineer by training with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU), Chetan also recently completed his MBA in Operations Management from NMIMS, reflecting his drive to merge technical depth with strategic leadership. This academic progression further strengthens his capability to navigate operational challenges and contribute to business transformation.
