Umang Meshram Joins Panacea Biotec as Senior Manager, Strengthening Automation Leadership in Pharma

Umang Meshram has joined Panacea Biotec as Senior Manager in December 2024, bringing with him over 11 years of rich experience in industrial automation and operational technology. Based in Chandigarh, Umang’s appointment is set to reinforce the pharmaceutical major’s commitment to advanced automation practices in manufacturing and engineering excellence.

Prior to this role, Umang served as Operational Technology Manager at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, where he played a key role in streamlining automation infrastructure across multiple systems including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), OSIsoft PI, and Building Management Systems (BMS). His contributions were instrumental in aligning international technical standards with operational workflows, particularly in Hyderabad-based operations.

Umang has also held significant roles at Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories as an Automation Team Lead, at R Systems as a SCADA Engineer, and at ACG Worldwide where he spent over seven years as an Automation Support Engineer. These experiences helped him build a solid foundation in control systems design, PLC programming, communication protocols, and troubleshooting across complex process industries. His technical expertise spans across Energy Management Systems, water and steam utilities, remote terminal units (RTUs), and field instrumentation—key assets for pharma automation.

A graduate in Instrumentation Engineering from the University of Pune, Umang is recognized not only for his hands-on technical capabilities but also for his ability to foster collaboration across departments. His track record of building effective relationships and driving end-to-end project delivery makes him a strong fit for Panacea Biotec’s forward-looking technology agenda.
